30 for 30 | 6: Cargo & Plaid

Jacket: H&M | Top: J.Crew via eBay | Jeans: Simply Vera | Boots: Report | Watch: Fossil

Crazy simple outfit, because guess what? I happen to have crazy simple style.
And I'd like to push my comfort zone here and there in 2013, but I'm not going to spend the next year (or the year after that, or the one after that) trying to reinvent the wheel. I like simple.

Thanks for all your suggestions on my "going cable-less" post! I have an Amazon Prime student membership (have you signed up? If not, you're missing a ton of free movies/TV shows and free two-day shipping) so I bought this blu-ray player, which lets me watch Amazon Instant Video and comes with three free months of Hulu Plus and a $5 video credit. I'll let you guys know how it goes, but I'm actually sort of stoked. Weird? Seriously if it weren't for March Madness, this would be a breeze... but I've already bribed a friend with beer so I can take over his TV to watch my Jayhawks play.

I'm nothing if not resourceful. And certainly not above bribery.

    1. Yeah I was definitely NOT going to go without sports. It'll probably be the only reason I keep some kind of cable package around when I get a big girl job! But for now, I'll mooch :)

  9. Sometimes simple is better! This outfit is too cute, top to bottom. The plaid is busy enough to not even need a ton of accessories, so that watch is the perfect touch. :)

Glad you figured out the cable debacle! :)

    1. Yeah, if I ever showed up to work in a sequin maxi and a band tee I'd be fired. So until I can stay home and play dress up simple will have to do :)

  19. I have similar items in my closet so I *might* just be copying this outfit :)

I forgot to comment on your last post, but you must tell me how I can watch Game of Thrones without paying for cable. I mean, cable alone is already expensive enough, but to pay for cable AND the premium package when all I'm going to watch is Game of Thrones, The Soup, and Keeping up with the Kardashians (is that still on TV? we canceled cable two years ago and I don't know whats on anymore) So far for us, we've just been watching Netflix and then we wait for series to come out on DVD so we can buy the DVD set or rent it from Blockbuster. I've tried the illegal route but I couldn't figure out all the torrent stuff no matter how many times I clicked around (SO MANY 'CLICK TO DOWNLOAD' BUTTONS.) I'm pretty sure I would have gotten like 20,000 computer viruses anyway, so I'm glad it didn't work out.

    1. I'm so scared of the illegal route! My Mac is precious to me, I'd keel over if I got a virus. I'll let you know how finding Game of Thrones goes! I'm hoping I can buy episodes on iTunes. It's like $25-30 a season, but that's better than $150 a month!
