30 for 30 | 11: Skirt + Boots pt. II

Sweater: F21 | Skirt: Cynthia Rowley | Boots: Report | Tights: Target | Earrings: F21 | Scarf: apt. 9

Skirts and boots part two! Shorter skirt + a little knee action = infinitely better. Huge thanks to Bella and Kimmie for showing me the error of my ways. :) So yeah, definitely digging this a little more than my last attempt, but I have to say I'm not sure it's "me." Practical in the winter, sure, but I prefer my skirts with heels.

As in May 4th.
As in "May the Fourth be with you."
3 months 18 days. Who's counting?

  1. I'm a fan of boots and skirts in winter myself, but each to their own! Love that jumper on you, looks so warm and snug. I only heard that 'may the fourth' thing for the first time last year - and love it hahaha! :)

  2. Sam, yeah I like part two better with some knee action going on there ;-), cozy winter look with a twist of elegance. I am with you when it comes to skirt with heels ;-)

  3. I think this look is really cute - I love skirts with boots in the winter, although heels are always a winner too. The sweater looks so cozy too, and that skirt is gorgeous!

  4. 1) you look excellent, i like the skirt+boots combo
    2) may 4th was my wedding date! [1st wedding anniversary this year, woop woop!]. when i picked the date, i obviously had no idea but some of my [star wars obsessed] coworkers/friends couldn't stop saying "may the fourth be with you" among their congrats! so, may, uh the fourth be with you when graduating!

  5. That skirt is so pretty, and it looks good with the boots.

  6. Love this skirt+boot combo! And I'm glad I could help. :) Congrats on your (upcoming) graduation, what a great milestone!

  7. Okay, this is the second time today that I've heard of Star Wars day. I told my intern that I was in a wedding on May 4th, and he said, "Star Wars Day!" I looked at him blankly. He then said, "May the 4th be with you." I felt pretty stupid for a minute, and then I realize that I've never watched Star Wars. I felt a little bit better.

Moving on, I really love your hair (in every post). And those earrings add a fun, different burst of color.

  8. I think this looks great, but I can understand the boots versus heels argument. I thought if I got some nice boots I could do more skirts and such, but I'm unsure if I can really pull it off.

Also, everything about the shoulders here looks so beautiful. staaahp it.

  9. Great skirt - love that it's colourful, but still versatile.
I'm all about boots and skirts - they've been my go-to for the last few weeks and I usually like the skirts to hit either at the knee or a bit below.

  10. I have a similar skirt from Loft in a darker blue tone. Maybe I should pair it with a purple sweater! May the 4th be with you cracked me up!!

  11. I saw on Fran's page you're feeling uninspired with this 30x30. Total bummer. I know you've got some great looks in you, and really like today's outfit. I think the skirt, boot, knee ratio is perfect here too!

  12. May 4th is My Birthday so that is a special date. Congrats. I will certainly NOT Forget when you graduate. And who is counting... exactly? LOL

I actually love and wear Pencil Skirts with Tall Boots. But best I prefer Sweater Dresses with Tall Boots. You look great. This is one of your Most Unique Outfits in your 30 for 30 so far. Love it.

  13. I agree, this look is better than the first attempt! I am a huge fan of boots and skirts. And I love the way you tied your scarf!

  14. I love this look! Boots with skirts are my favorite... mostly because I don't wear a lot of heels :) And I went back on my comment from the previous post and I hope it didn't sound like I was saying YOUR outfit looked weird, because it didn't! I was saying that when I did it, the boots-meet-skirt felt weird to me.

  15. Gorgeous skirt! I'm your newest follower :) I'd love for you to follow my blog too. xo
