Sam's First Ever And Possibly Last If It Doesn't Go Well But That's Just The Pessimist In Me Talking
30 FOR 30 CHALLENGE
(cue gauntlet music)

This is it!! My OCD is having suuuch a blast planning my outfits for the month, which I realize is not what most people look forward to about 30 for 30, but there it is. I'm working on a post to share all (yes, there are multiple) the ways I organize and come up with outfits. Hints: one is an app, one is old-fashioned, and one is sort of accountant-chic. You guys Type A is no joke okay.

Up first is this slightly Christmassy mix that I couldn't possibly wait until December to wear. I'm not a big fan of red and green together, but burgundy and lime? Gimme gimme gimmaaay. I've had this plaid shirt for two years and I've never worn it with anything else - only by itself, with jeans. Seriously, what the hell else have I been missing out on all this time? This is like the time I discovered I like cheesecake.

Photobomb!

WOOK AT THAT WITTLE FACE!!

Dear God I almost typed "attached please find my items for the 30x30 challenge..." Methinks I've written one too many professional emails today. Anyhoo, in case you were curious, here are the thirty items I'm working with this month. Outfit suggestions welcome!

  1. Eye spy a certain sparkly J.Crew striped shirt in the mix! Super jealous of that one, I love it. I'm very impressed you are taking on this challenge forgoing the use of jeans. You. Go. Girl. I also dig your Type A personality. From on A to another:) xo

    1. I'm piggybacking on this comment A) because I agree with and can't wait to see the outfits, B) because Type As must UNITE! :) If I did the 30x30 challenge I'm 100% sure I would have some sort of spreadsheet. It's a sickness.

(The "attached please find also seriously cracked me up. After three years of practicing law, I end every email with "Thanks.")

    2. Type A fo life!! You guys are awesome. A month without jeans is either going to be a perspective-changer or I'm going to end up having a mental breakdown and running down the street pantsless. So I guess either way it's a perspective changer.

As you will see tomorrow, I gots spreadsheets. And apps. And notebooks. This is maybe the most OCD 30x30 in the history of time.

      Thanks,
      Sam
      (haaahaha I couldn't resist)

  3. Sam, that will be interesting with what combos you will come up with. WTH took you so long to figure out you like cheesecake? I think I liked cheesecake as an Embryo hahaha, my FAVOURITE cake, could eat it 365 days a year twice a day especially when tangerine pieces are in it YUM YUM YUMIE :-D. Ok I created already some outfits in my mind:
    suggestion:
1.) red blazer, blue skirt, that aztec top 1st in line5 and the boots :-). In my head it looks pretty hahahaha
2.) Snake blazer, chambray blouse, black pants and the beige boots :-)

Let me know what you think girl :-)

    1. I have no idea what my cheesecake phobia was. I'm cured now so we're all good! Boyfriend bought me some that was literally dipped all the way in chocolate coating - that was the best ever. I about died from happiness.

Outfit 1 won't work because the aztec top is actually a dress and the pencil skirt isn't quite long enough to tuck it in. Believe me, I read your comment and went and tried it!! But outfit 2 is happening. I'll credit you when it makes it's blog debut :)

    1. That's so freaking sweet. Taking pictures of myself and sticking them on the internet is kind of the weirdest thing I've ever done, and this made me smile SO MUCH :) Thank you.

    1. GIRL. You are gonna have a heart attack tomorrow... we're way past Excel spreadsheets. But you're at least more technologically advanced, because I actually prefer just writing everything down by hand. Because I'm about 92 years old and stuck in 1891. Bring me my quill!!

I can. not. wait. to see your 30x30 outfits.
